Resolution for Compromise

--The delegation of business men, from Milwaukee, who are on a visit to Washington, met at a hotel there Tuesday night, and adopted the following resolution:

Resolved,That we owe a higher allegiance to our country than to any mere party platform; and while we represent all the political parties which took part in the late Presidential contest, and a larger majority of us were the supporters of the successful candidate, we earnestly invoke the Senators and Representatives in Congress from the State of Wisconsin, to sink at this time partisan prejudice for the sake of the Union.
