The military expenditures of South Carolina.

--The total expenditures of South Carolina, the Governor states, upon the authority of the State Treasurer, has been $640, 317, including the cost of munitions and ordnance of all kinds. The expense incurred by the State, since the date of her secession, will be assumed, he takes it for granted, by the Confederate States, as they were "incurred in defence of a common cause, and particularly as the Confederate Government expressly assumed jurisdiction of all questions between us and any other governments relating to defences and military operations.
