Death of an old Soldier.

--Mr. William Davis, of Isle of Wight county, died at his residence, near Smithfield, on the 6th inst., in the 67th year of his age. Mr. Davis was at the action at Craney Island in the war of 1812-14, and also served under General Taylor at Fort Barbour. He was an excellent horseman, and rendered efficient service during his term of enlistment.-- Portsmouth Transcript.
