--We subjoin a copy of a communication recently transmitted to Hon. John Letcher, Governor of Virginia, by the officer of one of the city regiments, and have only to remark that if danger seems to menace Virginia, his Excellency will be complimented by a good many more offers of the same kind. The communication reads as follows:

‘ "On behalf of the officers of the 19th Regiment of the Virginia Militia, we hereby tender our services, to be at your command at any moment that the honor, the interests, or the defence of Virginia or the South may require them. With our own, we take occasion to offer the services of our regiment."
