A Number of the Companies attached to the 1st Regiment, paraded yesterday evening, under the command of Col. Moore, and made an unusually fine appearance, clearly demonstrating that the war fever had permeated the ranks, and that each individual soldier was ready and eager for the fray, come when it will. In speaking of the military, we may say that the Young Guard, Capt. J. Stewart Walker, also paraded yesterday, with very full ranks, and were drilled and inspected on the Square, in squad, company and battalion drill. The rank and file of the 179th Regiment are ready to go wherever duty calls, and do and dare anything that any men would in the cause of their State, and of justice and equal rights.
