From New York.

New York, May 4.
--The Government has purchased two propellers in this city to be fitted out as gun-boats.

The U. S. Marshal seized, yesterday, a quantity of revolvers and 1,000,000 boxes of percussion caps, destined for the South.

Measures have been taken to organize another regiment of Zouaves from the Fire Department of this city.

The second regiment passed all Friday night on the battery in the rain, without tents, beds or food.

The steamer Columbia sailed at three o'clock P. M., with Albany Burgess corps, with two howitzers, the Salem Zouaves and a detachment of the 71st Regiment.

The Niagara sailed early this morning on secret service.

The transport Daylight has arrived from Washington. General Wool left Troy to-day. His departure is much regretted.
