Boston Alarmed.

--A dispatch from Boston, May 11th, says: ‘An attempt was made to cut off the Cochituate water from the city last night, by breaking open the main conduit, near Newton, Lower Falls. The attempt was unsuccessful, the mason work being too substantial for the implements used.’
