Cards in Texas.

--The Belton (Texas) Independent, of the 4th inst.,says:

‘ "Wheat is being harvested this week, and will continue until finished. Never was there such a vast amount of grain in Texas. Oats and barley are in a fair way to make the largest yield we ever saw. Corn will now be made without additional rain, but we are certain of showers after this. Providence has indeed favored us with his bountiful smiles, and as a Christian people we should feel truly grateful." ’
