Read this — do you Expect to conquer such
a people?

A correspondent sends us the following:

Wake Up, Boys.--The old song, ‘"I wish I was a Boy Again,"’ has been lately realized, both in feeling and vocation, by two of our glorious defenders, whose names are mentioned in the following article:

In Capt. Anderson's Company, just arrived from Fluvanna county, is to be found a drummer, Waddy J. Tate, seventy-three years of age, while the lifer, Reuben R. Tate, is sixty three. They are brothers, were both in the war of 1812, and did good service, fighting in the ranks with zeal and courage, while the New England Yankees were burning their blue lights and luring a hostile foe to our shores. These Trojans will strike up such a stirring appeal to our brave hearts in arms, that when the battle commences the Lincolnttes will begin to think ‘ "Dickon"’ as well as ‘"Dixie"’ is upon them. They are still obedient sons, and got the consent, as well as the blessings, of their parents before their departure for the war. You must call and see the ‘"boys."’
