Ro-arrested.
--The reporter of the
Dispatch learns, by a note from the counsel of
Wm. R. Snow, who, it will be remembered, was before
Judge Lyons on a
habeas corpus Tuesday, praying to be released from the duress imposed on him by order of
Gen. Beauregard.
that ‘"the man was discharged, as soon as the argument was concluded, from the process under which he was held."’ Our notice stated that after hearing the argument the
Judge took time to consider.
This was in allusion to the re-arrest of Snow ‘"under an order from
Gov. Letcher, in virtue of an Ordinance of Convention."’ On this last matter, as
Snow's counsel observes, ‘"a new
habeas corpus was presented and allowed, and the case fixed for Monday next."’ We hope after a while that Snow will disappear from our own and the public observation.
