Baltimore Cattle Market.
Baltimore, Nov. 16.
--The offerings of Beef Cattle yesterday amounted to 1,350 head, being fifty more than last market day. Of the above, 200 head were driven to Philadelphia, 150 were left over unsold, and the balance (1,000 head) were taken up by Baltimore butchers at prices ranging from $3 to $4 per 100 lbs., but very few, however, at the latter figure.
The average price was $3.44 per 100 lbs., being 18 ¾ cents higher than last Thursday's rate.
The market wound up very dull.
There was quite a brisk demand for Hogs.
Sales were made of good to prime lots at $8 to $8.25 per 100 lbs. The market for Sheep was exceedingly dull, and prices show a decline.
We quote them at $2.50 to $3.50 per head.
