Cost of a rotten railing.

--The city of Salem maintained a rotten railing running along Hardy street; Richard Stickney leaned against the same, it gave way, and he was precipitated down an embankment, to his great damage. Charles F. Stickney, a surviving son, has sued the city for damages, and recovered $1,750.
