--Yesterday morning a negro fellow, in passing the shoe store of Sterns & Bro., took a sudden fancy to a pair of shoes, which were hanging at the front door as a sign, and feeling a strong disposition to possess them at small cost, seized them and ran off. He was discovered when he started, and not being swift of foot, was outrun, captured and caged. This morning the Mayor will dress him down with twisted rawhide.
