Knighthood Conferred on an American. By private advices from St. Petersburg we learn that the Emperor Alexander has conferred Knighthood of the Imperial and Royal Order of St. Stanislas, of the third class, upon Mr. Joseph Francis, a citizen of the United States, and who has been already the recipient of similar favors from other European crowned heads.
