Mr. Meldrum's Benefit.

--The benefit of Mr. R. S. Meldrum takes place at the Theatre tonight. He is quite a favorite here, as any actor must be who performs his parts with care and judgment. We therefore hope that he will receive a similar token of approbation to that which has been bestowed upon others of the company. The performances for the occasion include a drama founded upon Mrs. Southworth's story of ‘"Rose Elmer,"’ the great comedy of Katherine and Petruchio, and other novelties which cannot fail to please an audience. We heard on Saturday of the arrival of Miss Mary Partington, the favorite danseuse and it is quite probable she will appear tonight.
