When perlist round her lower,
Make manifest Thy power.
Oh, Lord of Hosts !

‘ Then, in the days of old,

When they, for Right made hold,
Unheathed the sword.
We for the liberty
Which they received from Thee,
Now meet the enemy;
Help us, oh Lord !

‘ Thou art the God of Might--
