Avoid confusion.

--Now that the population of Richmond is increased to such a degree that it is sometimes difficult to thread one's way amongst the dense mass moving on the sidewalks, it would be well for people to learn the rules for promenading in large cities.--Drivers of vehicles might also take a hint, and by turning to the right or left as the case may require, avoid the confusion attendant on a promiscuous jumble of wagons, drays, carts and carriages. If our population continues some rule will have to be adopted both by pedestrians and drivers of vehicles.
