Death of an Estimable man.

--Capt. George S. Lownes, an old and much respected citizen of Richmond, died suddenly at his residence in this city on Monday night last. In all the walks of life Captain L. was truly an upright and just man. His remains were conveyed to their last resting place yesterday afternoon under escort of the Masonic fraternity, of which order he was a zealous member. The Rev. Mr. Seely preached an impressive funeral discourse to a large concourse of friends and relatives.
