Operations in Western Missouri.

Lexington, Mo., Aug. 29.
--The Missourian are congregating in large numbers in this and the adjoining counties. If allowed, they will overrun Lafayette, Ray, and other rich counties. As now doing, they will collect provisions enough for their subsistence for months. Gen. Fremont has been advised of this condition of things, and has been called on for assistance. The Home Guards still hold possession of the fortifications, and can probably hold the town.
