Seizure of tobacco.

--The following is from a Philadelphia paper of Sept. 5:

‘ Yesterday morning, Deputy U. S. Marshal John Jenkins visited the warehouse of Messrs. J. R. Sank & Co., in Water street, and seized 63 boxes of tobacco, the property of S. M. Bailey, of Richmond, Va., who holds a captain's commission in the Confederate army. Sank & Co. have been acting as his agents, and a large amount of tobacco has been sold, the proceeds of which were also seized by Mr. Jenkins, amounting in money and bills due to between $6,000 and $7,000.
