--We saw a fine horse on the cars last week, says the Charlotte (N. C.) Democrat, intended as a present to Colonel John F. Hoke, of the 13th North Carolina Regiment, (now in Western Virginia,) from Mr. Geo. S, Hooper, of Catawba or Lincoln county, The horse is a valuable one and we learn he could and have been bought from Mr. Hooper
