Patriotic contributions for the army.
We subjoin a list of the voluntary contributions registered at the
Passport Office since Monday last:
- C. C. Anderson, $1,000 worth of clothing to the 14th Va. regiment.
- A. J. Bell, $100 worth of clothing for Georgia troops.
- Dr. D. M. Daney, $300 worth of clothing to a Louisiana battation.
- T. R. English, $125 worth of clothing for S. C. volunteers.
- E. P. Gowan, $8,000 worth of clothing to the 2d, 17th, and 19th Miss. regiments.
- Jos, A. Gaston, $1,600 worth of clothing to the 6th S. C. regiment.
- David Grififth, $400 worth of clothing to Gilham's regiment.
- G. B. Mobley, $7,406 worth of clothing to Alabama troops.
- J. H. McKnight, $114 worth of clothing to S. C. troops.
- S. W. Neal, agent of Ladies' Association, Wadesboro', N. C., $2,210 worth of clothing to 4th, 13th, and 26th North Carolina regiments.
- D. M. Peden, $2,280 worth of clothing to the 6th South Carolina regiment.
- Robt. C. Patterson, $200 worth of clothing to the 2d Georgia regiment.
- D. Poindexter, $100 worth of clothing to the 14th Va. regiment.
- Wm. H. Quincy, $175 worth of clothing to the Maryland volunteers.
- Capt. Richardson, $2,000 worth of clothing to Blanding's and Kerahaw's S. C. regiments.
- Felix G. Shropehur, $13,760 worth of clothing to the 16th and 17th Ala. regiments.
- R. A. Tunstall, $200 worth of supplies to N. C. troops.
- Capt. David Williams, $300 worth of clothing for 3d N. C. regiment.
- J. A. Waldrop, and T. F. and John Truss, $2,450 worth of clothing to the 10th Ala. regiment.
Amounting to $42,720 in value, contributed by patriotic citizens of the
South for the benefit of troops in the field, and making an aggregate of $79,920 thus far for the present week.
