A duel occurred in New Orleans, on Wednesday last, between two white women, in which one of the combatants was severely injured. They fought with bowle-knives. Cheap.--A letter from Iowa says, eggs are selling there at one cent a dozen, and corn at fifteen cents a bushel; apples twenty-five to thirty cents per bushel; flour two dollars per hundred pounds. Dr. Moses Worthington, Capt. of the "Fort Browden Roughs," of Barbour county, Ga., died at Augusta on Saturday morning last. Capt. Hiram Hartz, an old and distinguished citizen of Rockingham county, Va., died at his residence on Smith creek, on the 19th inst. Hon. Wm. C. Rives publishes a letter in the Lynchburg Virginian of yesterday, declining any further use of his name as a candidate for a seat in the Confederate Congress. Dr. John A. Dickson, a highly esteemed citizen of Burke county, Ga., died at his residence a fews days ago.
