--A bill has been introduced into the Tennessee Legislature to prevent speculation in gold and silver. It provides that bankers and brokers shall not charge more than five per cent, for coin. It would have been much better had the prohibition been entire, but, as it is, it is somewhat of a move in the right direction, which we hope the Legislature of Virginia will follow.
