Col. Reynolds.

This gallant officer, who has been to the city on business connected with the Hospitals, paid us a visit yesterday. He was an old acquaintance, whom we had not seen for many years. Since we last saw him, the present war has broken out, and he has been concerned prominently in some of its most stirring scenes. He commanded a regiment in the battles of Cross Lanes and Gauley, and was second to no officer on these occasions — He seems to bear the wars remarkably well, and looks as though he had a dozen campaigns in him yet.
