--The Raleigh Register, of Wednesday, says:

‘ The Synod of North Carolina will hold its annual session in this city during the present week. It will be opened with a sermon by the last Moderator, the Rev. Mr. Lafferty, of the Concord Presbytery, in the Presbyterian Church, at half-past 7 o'clock this evening. This body is composed of almost 240 Ministers and Elders, and their discussions will be open to the public.

The Annual Convention of the Baptist denomination in this State will commence its sessions in this city on the 13th of November.

The next session of the North Carolina Annual Conference of the M. E. Church, South, will commence in Louisburg, on Wednesday the 4th of December next. The venerable Bishop Andrew will preside.
