Notice.

--to the Tax Payers of Madison Ward.--I have appointed R. D. Mitchell and James E. Goddin assessors for the district above, embracing 14th to 4th streets, for the purpose of obtaining the taxable property therein, according to an act of Congress. The assessors will endeavor to leave with the respective parties, or at their residences, duplicate forms of property taxable under said act to be returned filled up, under oath, on or before 6th December next, at my office on Bank street, 2d door west of 11th street. All parties owning property, or the representative of others filing to make such return, are liable to be taxed double in conformity with the law. W. O. Taylor,
