It is not well to excite the expectations of the people by a general circulation of rumors; but there are signs both from the North and the South which indicate the near approach of stirring events. It is believed that McClellands preparing for his long delayed ‘"advance"’ from Washington; while the encroachments of the enemy on the Southern coast will not be quietly submitted to by a spirted and gallant people.
