Arrival of Released prisoners, &c.

Memphis, Dec. 6.
--On Wednesday afternoon Federal steamer brought to Columbus, under a flag of truce, 150 Southern from Camp Jackson, Mo. The prisoners, with their arms and equipments, were given up, because Gen. Jackson let off the Federal prisoners. On Thursday the gun-boats Polk and Jackson made another demonstration. Captain Holt peppered the Federals, and run them out of their tents. The extent of the damage is unknown.

Jeff. Thompson is fortifying at New Madrid. He feels no apprehension of disturbance.

Gen. Polk has entirely recovered, and has assumed command at Columbus.

It is rumored at Columbus that there will probably be an attack on Paducah.
