Successful expedition.

--twelve of the Buckner Guards, under Lieut. Hines, crossed Green river, twelve miles from Morgantown, Wednesday night, surrounded a house in which four Federal soldiers were concealed, and took them prisoners. They got ten guns and the sword of Capt. Phelps, which he had left there. After recrossing the river, they attempted to arrest a man who had several times fired at our soldiers across the river, and the man, whose name we could not learn, shot at Mr. Cook, one of the guides, but missed him, where upon Cook shot him dead.-- Knoxville Register.
