The Concert.
--We desire to remind our readers of the Concert, to be given to night, at the Second Baptist Church, for the benefit of the Kentucky Volunteers now in service in the army of the Potomac.
If anything were necessary to induce a large attendance, in addition to the patriotic purpose of the concert, we might state that the ladies and gentlemen who participate have on two previous occasions won the admiring applause of the public by their delightful musical performances.
They were, indeed, the musical events of the season,
par excellence. We hope none will be kept away by any ordinary consideration; but if the weather proves unfavorable, and you are compelled to stay at home, send in the price of a ticket by way of contribution, and to that extent cheer up the hearts of the have
Kentucky boys who have no near friends to look after their personal comfort.
