The river.

--This popular and well known institution continues to swell and rage at a furious rate. The kind of water now filling the bed of the stream is well indicated by the liquid clay distilled from the city hydrants for the use of the people. The people are much inconvenienced by the efforts of the ‘"noble James"’ to sweeps himself beyond his allotted proportions.
