Vote on the Constitution.
We would earnestly call public attention to the fact that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, are the days appointed to vote upon the new Constitution.
Few seemed to be aware of the fact yesterday, but two days are still left in which the people can establish a new, conservative Constitution, in place of the late Yankee political invention.
Among other features, the
Governor is to be elected by a majerity, the
Judges to be appointed by the Legislature, and the Sheriffs by the county courts.
The single opportunity to be rid of defaulting Sheriffs ought alone to bring every voter to the polls.
Military commanders, when not interrupted by the enemy, are required to give the men an opportunity to vote.
Let every man aid in giving
Virginia a good Southern Constitution.
