The Church Bell Battery.

--A lady correspondent of this paper makes the following excellent suggestions:

In your yesterday's issue you announce the donation of the Bell of the Second Haptist Church to the Secretary of War, and the intention of the congregation to contribute an amount of money sufficient for the manufacture of a battery. The name proposed seems inappropriate, being liable, from its length, to abbreviation or some ridiculous misnomer, disparaging to our denominational tenets. The object of this communication is to suggest to the Church the propriety of calling it "The Seeley Battery"--a compliment justly merited by our patriotic pastor, who is likely to become a considerable sufferer from the enemy's invasion of his native State, Kentucky.

A Lady of the Church.
