Loss of grain at Sea.

It is authoritatively stated that between September 1st, 1861, and February 1st, 1862, no less than twenty-nine vessels laden with flour, and grain from Philadelphia, New York, and Montreal, have been lost at sea, and that this total is supposed not to represent more than half the actual number. The quantity lost is known to have exceeded five hundred thousand bushels.
