Bank notes.

--If any one meets with a $2 note on the ‘"Bank of Rockbridge,"’ he may be sure that it is a counterfeit. There are such notes in circulation, but they were not issued by the bank; it never having issued any notes of that denomination.

The Bank of Rockbridge has just issued notes of $1, $1.25, and $1.50, which will be paid out ‘"in change"’ for its own notes of higher denomination, according to the law passed by the Legislature at its regular session.-- Lexington Gazette.
