How soldiers Diet.

--A friend of ours met a soldier on the cars in Alabama, who said the doctor dieted him for some time, and then told him to eat what he wanted. He took in Mobile first ‘"a bale of fried oysters,"’ and ate twenty-four. An hour afterwards he took ‘"a bail of stewed,"’ and got along pretty well until he ate ‘"some of those brier pies"’ made of blackberries, and got sick again. It would require a miracle to save some of our convalescent soldiers who have morbid appetites.
