Repentant Yankees.

A gentleman of credit states that some of the Yankees, on their retreat from Charles City, told him that they would give the South all they require and all the pay due them by old Abe, if they could only go home and stay there. Some of them were not so repentant, however, for they stole $450 worth of goods from Mr. O. F. Taylor, and burnt Mrs. Christian's barn, on their route.

It was 300 revolvers that Yankee deserters gave information of, instead of 1,500, mentioned in a paragraph yesterday.
