Accidentally shot.

--Yesterday, about one o'clock, a member of the City Battalion, who was on guard at the C. S. prison, corner of Cary and 20th streets, had occasion to speak to one of the Yankee prisoners about something he was doing contrary to the prison rules, when the latter applied a very vile and insulting epithet in reply. The sentinel raised his musket and fired. Unfortunately, the party at whom he aimed drew back in time to avoid being hit. The ball pasted through an upper floor of the prison, and, striking James Fickey, a citizen of Philadelphia, instantly killed him. After the occurrence the sentinel was taken to Castle Thunder and locked up.
