Runaways in jail.

--Was committed to the jail of Henrico county as runaways the following Slaves, vis.

Adam — Said to belong to Col. Wyatt Alkin, of South Carolina. The said negro is about 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches high, and not very black. Had on when committed a suit of linen clothes.

Jeremiah — Said to be the property of G. R. Charley wright, near Front Royall, Va. Said slave is about 12 years old. yellow complexion, 4 feet 8 inches high, and had on when committed a full suit of Yankee uniform clothing.

The owners of said slaves are requested to come forward, prove property, pay charges, and take them away, or they will be dealt with as the law requires.
