A mistake.

--A telegram announcing the death of Lieut. W. P. P. Morris, said to have been killed in a skirmish at Snicker's Ferry, appeared in this paper a few days ago. The friends of W. H. P. Morris supposed that he was the person intended, from the similarity of the first letters of the name. This was not so. We learn by a telegram from Charlottesville that W. H. P. Morris was in Staunton and in good health the day before yesterday.
