--Special to the Advertiser and Register:

‘ Tullahoma Jan. 16.--The enemy numbering 40,000 has occupied his original position before Murfreesboro', with a great scarcity of provisions. He is repulsing the railroad, but malling no preparation for an advance. The weather is bitter cold and a snow stern prevailing.
