Friday, March 6, 1863.
Specie and Bank Notes.--Subsequent to our last report a further decided advance in the premium for good was established--#3.50 being the selling rate yesterday and to-day; and $8.25 for silver. This advance is believed to be owing to the demand from foreigners, who are removing to the kingdom of "Abraham I, " in large numbers.--The demand to-day was not as brisk as it has been. Bank notes of the several States are quotable at 5 per cent, premium, and firm.

Stocks and Bonds.--The quotations of the leading securities indicated by recent sales are; Confederate bonds, (100 M,) par and int; do, do, (5 M.) 110; Virginia registered stock, 103; North Carolina sixes, 131½ with an advancing tendency; Exchange Bank stock, 110; Farmer's Bank, 107½ Bank of Virginia, 78; Bank of Commonwealth 107½ Taylors' Bank, 105; Virginia Life Insurance stock, 155, Virginia Fire and Marine Insurance stock, 43. The demand for Confederate bond continue active, especially 8 per cent. "long dash."

Produce.--We continue to quite Wheat at $3.7 & 4 for prime qualities of red and white, and Corn at $4.45 bus. Transactions on private account are very small. The Tobacco market is yet in an excited condition, and receipts light; sales are made daily at very high prices, as the following will show. Inferior Large, $11 @ 4, good do, $16 @ 18; fine cutting do, $18@25; inferior Leaf, $19 @ good do, $35@40; fine manufacturing, $50 @50, the shipping, an extra article, fine wrappers, has sold within a few days past at $100@ 139. The Flour market is unspitled under the excitement sensed by recent impressments, and it is difficult to give quotations; we hear of sales of Superfine at $23, and Extra at 50@33, with an advancing tendency. Corn Meal, $4.56 per bushel.--Bacon is held at $1.10@ 1.20 per lb. for hoground.-- Butter, $2.50 @2.73--retailing at $3. Lard $1.10 @Lib. Apples dull at $35@40 per bbl. Dried Apples, $3. Dried Peaches, $11 @15 per bushel. Irish Potatoes, $6@7 per bushel. Onlovs, $50 per bbl, in demand. Eggs, $1@1.25 per dozen. Beans, $8@10 bushel. Press, $1@3 per bushel. Tallow, @30 cents th. Country Soup, £0 @£0 cents. Seeds lower — Clever $25, T mothy $7.

--Recent sales denote an advance in Sugar, and we quote brown at 93@97 cents per lb-- $3 per gallon Rio Coffee $3 per lb.--Rice in active demand, a fine quality of last crop

crushed sugar, $1.75;rods, $3.90@4; nails, molasses, $7.75@8. At Messrs, Robinson, £dant& Cols sale, to-day, brown sugar, in hhds., sold for 8 @34; in bbls, $2½@ 6, molasses. $2.30, now tobacco, 40@$1.50; cotton plow $12.50 per doz, coffee, $3.55@3.60, etc.
