Shooting.

--N. B. Dickinson appeared before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of shooting Sarah, slave of D. McDaniel, on Sunday afternoon last. The ball of the pistol entered the left breast of the woman, within one inch of the nipple and passed obliquely into the right breast, where it lodged. Dr. Bronaw, who attended the wounded woman, said she had marks of powder on her right hand, which the prisoner's counsel intimated was caused by her seizing the pistol and producing an involuntary explosion. Without going fully into the examination, the case was adjourned till Wednesday.
