Youthful Depravity.

--A young girl, thirteen years of age.--Miss Lena Echo--was called before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of stealing $66 of John E. Brooks, on Sunday last. Mr. Brooks boards in a house where Miss Echo has been staying; and returning home early in the morning, after being on duty as a watchman the night before, undressed and retired to rest. While he was asleep he was robbed of the money. After getting up and discovering his loss, Mr. Brooks charged a lad out the house with the theft, but finding that he was not guilty did not have him arrested. In the course of the day Miss Echo was heard to say that she was going out to buy a dress. This created suspicion against her, and she was watched. In the afternoon Miss E. made her purchase, was accused of theft, made a full confession, and returned $25 in money and the dress she had purchased. She was then taken to prison, and yesterday morning, after having a hearing before the Mayor, was committed for further examination before the Hustings Court.
