Disturbing a congregation.

--Wolf Jacobs a member of the Jewish congregation world shipping at the synagogue on Main street, near 20th, was before the Mayor yesterday to answer the charge of disturbing the congregation by disorderly conduct. After a portion of the services were concluded, Jacobs began to knock his stick on the floor, for which the President, Mr. Henry, called him to order. When the entire services were ended, Jacobs used offensive language at the door, which led to a quarrel between him and Samuel and David Cohen, and resulted in a collision in the street. The two parties then procured peace warrants, and the quarrel and fight were brought before the Mayor, who aided it by holding Jacobs to bell for his good behavior in the sum of $300.
