--The Coroner's inquest over the body of John Elder, who was killed by Beverly J. Jordan on Tuesday morning last, concluded its labors yesterday morning, and rendered a verdict that Elder came to his death by a wound inflicted by Jordan, after Elder had feloniously assaulted and attempted to assassinate Jordan, and that Elder was aided and abetted in the attempted assassination by William C. Martin and William T. Cummings. Elder, Martin, and Cummings are all penitentiary convicts, and were regarded by the police of Richmond as exceedingly dangerous men.
