Engagement near Wilmington.

Wilmington, N. C., Aug. 24.
--Yesterday morning the frigate Minnesota and six gunboats bombarded the shore nine miles above Fort Fisher, where the steamer Hebe ran aground some days ago, she being protected by two small guns and fifty men. The enemy attempted to land, but were repulsed, with one killed. Being reinforced, they finally succeeded in destroying the goods landed from the steamer, set her on fire, and left. We lost one killed and three wounded, a Whitworth and another small gun. Our forces were in possession of the beach last evening.
