Mobile, Sept. 8.
--Gen. Kirby Smith is at Shreveport. Richard Taylor's command is at Vermillionville, having evacuated Brashear.

Sam. Houston in July. [So reads the unpunctuated telegram — a word, no doubt, omitted.] The people of Texas are perfectly loyal and devoted to the Confederacy. Men and boys are going into camp at Bonham, and every preparation is being made to repel the invasion expected next week.

A meeting of Governors to devise means of concerted action was held at Marshall, Texas, on the 17th ult. Governors Moore, of Louisiana, Lubbock, of Texas, Flanagan, of Arkansas, and Reynolds, of Missouri, were present.--The result of their deliberations is unknown.
