--Benj. Phillips was examined before the Mayor on the charge of breaking in Mrs. Edith Mann's door. Witnesses testified to Phillips's desperate character on the night in question. He had not only abused Mrs. Mann and another woman in the neighborhood, but had drawn a pistol on them and threatened to shoot. The Mayor bound him over in the sum of $500, to keep the peace.
